Successful test of France’s dreaded missile

France has tested a ballistic missile capable of carrying nuclear warheads. The Strategic Ballistic Missile M-51 can carry six to 10 TN-75 thermonuclear warheads, Defense News reported, citing the French Defense Ministry.

A statement from the French Ministry of Defense said the test of the M-51 strategic ballistic missile was carried out on Wednesday (April 28th). However, it did not have a nuclear warhead at the time of the missile test.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif condemned the French missile test. He criticized Paris for pursuing a dual policy on nuclear and ballistic missiles and seeking to impose its discriminatory policy on Iran’s nuclear program.

“What is good for France is not good for Iran,” Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif joked on Twitter.
