The US is sending more than USD 100 million in aid to India

The United States is sending more than USD 100 million (US) worth of medical supplies to India to help combat the second wave of coronavirus epidemics. The White House said in a statement on Wednesday.

The aid will begin arriving in India on Thursday and will continue until next week, the statement said.

Assistance materials sent by the Biden administration include 1,000 oxygen cylinders, 15 million N95 masks, and 1 million rapid diagnostic tests (RDTs).

The US administration has also directed the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca to send its own orders for vaccines to India. With them, Indians will be able to produce at least 20 million doses of the corona vaccine.

The White House said in a statement that the United States was committed to helping India in times of need, in the same way, that India sent aid to our hospitals at the beginning of the epidemic.
