Pfizer’s corona drugs may come this year

Pfizer, a US pharmaceutical company is now launching oral drugs for corona. Pfizer’s chief executive officer (CEO) Albert Borla told CNBC that the drug could hit the market later this year.

The corona vaccine, co-produced by Pfizer and the German company BioEnTech, is already being used in various countries around the world, including the United Kingdom and the United States. Pfizer is also working on two ‘anti-viral drugs to treat corona. One is oral, the other is an injectable drug.

Of the two anti-viral drugs, oral medication is the most important, said Albert Borla. The reason, he said, is that oral medications have multiple benefits. One of the advantages is that the patient does not have to go to the hospital to take this medicine. The medicine can be taken at home.

Meanwhile, the treatment of coronavirus has so far received approval from an anti-viral drug worldwide. Its name is RemDCV. This is an injection. The drug is manufactured by Gilead Sciences, a US company.
