Biman Bangladesh Airlines will operate flights to eight destinations in five countries from 8 am on Saturday to pick up the expatriates trapped in the ongoing lockdown.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines will operate flights to eight destinations in five countries from 8 am on Saturday to pick up the expatriates trapped in the ongoing lockdown.

The state-owned airline’s aircraft will fly to these destinations as part of a special flight to repatriate Bangladeshis in exile amidst all restrictions on coronavirus control.

The airline will operate special flights to Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, Muscat, the capital of Oman, Doha, the capital of Qatar and Singapore.

Tahera Khandaker, Deputy General Manager, Public Relations, Biman Bangladesh Airlines, said on Thursday that the airline was going to start operating special flights to these destinations from 8am on Saturday.

Reserved passengers on scheduled flights after 8 am on Saturday are requested to arrive at the airport six (six) hours before departure with a coronavirus negative certificate, according to a press release issued by the airline.

The special flight BG 5039 to Riyadh on April 17 will leave at 8:15 am instead of 4 am.
