After meeting Navalny, he said that although he could walk, Navalny was feeling severe pain. Occasionally the legs become numb. If not treated properly now, the hands, feet, and wrists may lose their senses permanently.
Navalny has been suffering from fever, shortness of breath, and other complications for some time. He was transferred to the sickbed of the jail earlier this week. However, he complained that proper treatment was not being given. He started a hunger strike last week demanding proper treatment.
The United States has expressed concern about Navalny’s condition and treatment.
