India tops the list of daily COVID-19 infections for two days in a row

Corona infection is on the rise in India. For two days in a row, the country has topped the list of daily infections.

On Saturday, 93,000 new infections were detected in India. This is the highest number of infections since September 19 last year. More than 500 people have died in the country so far, the highest in four months.

Meanwhile, the worst situation is in Maharashtra. About 49,500 new infections have been detected in the state. 27 people have died.

New records are being set almost every day in the commercial capital Mumbai. The coronavirus was detected in the highest number of 9,106 people in the history of the city on Saturday. Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat also recorded the highest number of infections on Saturday.
