A cyclone is expected on November in Bay of Bengal

Almost every month of the present year has been more or less disaster-prone. According to the Meteorological Department, there was 45 percent more rain in last October than usual time. There were also three low depressions in the Bay of Bengal. A long-term forecast from the Meteorological Department said one to two depressions could form in the Bay of Bengal in November. There is a possibility of a cyclone also.

The forecast for November also said that there may be more rain than usual this month. Day and night temperatures will start to decrease this month. Winter will continue to descend. Light to moderate fog will also start falling in the riparian areas.

Abdul Mannan, a meteorologist at the Meteorological Department, told Prothom Alo that November is the best time for a cyclone. Besides, the Bay of Bengal has already become warmer than usual. As a result, more clouds will be created this month. There may be more rain.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has forecast for Tuesday that the light pressure in the Bay of Bengal has weakened and moved slightly. As a result, the country’s seaports have been asked to remove warning number 3.

It may rain in many places of Barisal and Chittagong divisions on Tuesday. It may rain in one or two places of Khulna division. Other parts of the country may remain dry.
