The 75th session of the UN General Assembly has begun. UNGA President Volkan Bozkır announced the start of the formalities on Tuesday.
However, the high-level session with world leaders will begin on September 22.
Bozkir said the main agenda in this year’s discussion was health safety issues because of the coronavirus. Besides, the distribution of vaccines among all countries will also be discussed.
Mr. Bozkir told the plenary that next week the General Debate would be addressed by more Heads of State than ever before.

He asserted that two weeks of crucial High-level meetings, “will guide our work for the session” and expressed confidence that their impact “will not be compromised by the circumstances”.
Also important will be the Sustainable Development Goals 2030, the Paris Climate Agreement, peace and security, disarmament, human rights, and gender equality.
