The Prime Minister invites Erdogan to Bangladesh

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has invited Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to visit Bangladesh. He was invited to Bangladesh on the occasion of Mujib Year. He was invited to the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed Bangladesh Embassy building in Ankara, Turkey at a virtual conference from Ganobhaban on Monday (September 14) afternoon.

At the time, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina thanked the Turkish government and people for standing by Bangladesh in the Rohingya crisis.

The Prime Minister said Rohingyas have taken refuge in Bangladesh for almost 3 years. Rohingyas should return to their homeland. And in this case, the friendly country Turkey can play a big role. At the time, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina invited the President and First Lady of Turkey to Bangladesh.

The Foreign Minister of Bangladesh AK Abdul Momen and the Foreign Minister of Turkey joined the event from Turkey. In the beginning, the documentary of the newly constructed Bangladesh Bhaban was shown. The cost to build this building is about 43 crore 50 lakh rupees.

During Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit to Turkey in 2012, plots were handed over between the two countries in the diplomatic areas of their respective capitals. The construction work of the complex started on September 17, 2016.
