Social media site Facebook has decided to limit their message forwarding services. Message forwarding facility in Messenger has been limited to prevent fake information.
From now on, any message can be shared with a maximum of five people or groups at a time.
Restricting message forwarding will prevent misinformation and malicious content from going viral, Facebook said. In a blog post, social media has given details about this. A similar forwarding limit was set last April on Facebook-owned WhatsApp.
This has reduced the amount of fast-forwarding of different messages. WhatsApp has reported a 70 percent reduction in message forwarding worldwide.
