Workshop on information services on reproductive health and rights have been held in Jhalokati under the project ‘Rights are here, right now’. Naripokkho organized the event at 11 am on Saturday (5th September) in the meeting room of the deputy commissioner’s office.
It was attended by government officials, journalists, health department officials, leaders of non-governmental organizations, and voluntary organizations. Jhalokathi Tarunner Konthoswor Platform (Jhalokati Youth Voice Platform) collaborates in the workshop.
The workshop provided ideas on the health rights of adolescents. Union Health Centers are urged to set up corners for adolescents and ensure their health care. Jhalokati Youth Voice Platform Coordinator Sohanur Rahman presided over the workshop. and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Overall) Ariful Islam was the chief guest for the workshop.
Samia Afrin, director of the project ‘Rights are here, right now’, Syed Hossain, Executive Director of the private development agency SAIDO, journalist KM Sabuj, officials of the Union Health Center, and members of the youth voice platform took part in the discussion. The program was conducted by Nasreen Akhter Sara of Youth Voice Platform.
