Lata Mangeshkar tweets Samadipta Mukherjee’s desi cover of Mozart’s 40th symphony

If you are a singer and your song is shared by a legendary singer, you are sure to be honored and  this will make your day. If this sharing is done by veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar, then then the achievement will be ten times more.

Recently, West Bengal’s Samadipta Mukherjee, using Indian classical music notes, posted a video of her covering Mozart’s 40th symphony on the occasion of International Music Day. The cover went viral on the internet and is impressed by many people on the internet and social media. And veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar has shared Samadipta’s song on Twitter.

“Namaskar. Someone sent me this video of a girl, who sang Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s 40th Symphony G minor using Indian classical notes in such a beautiful rendition. I wish her all the best. My blessings are with her and she will become a great singer one day,” Lata Mangeshkar tweeted in Hindi.

Samadipta Mukherjee also responded to the post.

“I literally worshipped you, respected @mangeshkarlata -Ji, from my childhood! Today, I have been blessed by the God herself! What else do I need! Keep showering your blessings on me, so that, I can reach higher levels in my musical journey! Pronaam,” she said.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart composed the 40th Symphony in 1778. This symphony is considered as one of the most complex compositions by him. He composed more than 600 works.
