Today, the holy Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated all over the country with due dignity and religious solemnity. The epidemic of coronavirus has faded the joy that surrounds the Muslim community with Eid. This year’s Eid is being celebrated amid fears of an uncertain future.
Eid Jamaat was not held in the open field this time under the direction of the government to deal with corona and prevent the spread of infection. Eid Jamaat is held all over the country by maintaining physical distance inside the mosque and following the hygiene rules.
President Mohammad Abdul Hamid along with his family members and some senior government officials offered Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at Bangabhaban.
This time Eid Jamaat was not held at the National Eidgah adjacent to the High Court. Also the Eid Jamaat at Sholakia Maidan, a hundred-year-old historical site, was also not held this time. However, like every year, 5 Eid congregations are held in the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram. This year the main congregation of Eid has been held at Baitul Mukarram Mosque in accordance with the health rules.
