Bangladeshi Filmmaker and director Rana Hamid dies

Bangladeshi Film producer, director, and actor Rana Hamid passed away at a hospital in the capital on Saturday night.

Hamid had been suffering from stomach cancer and kidney-related difficulties for long and died at a private hospital around 11:30 pm at Shyamoli.

Rana Hamid was also a censor board member in Bangladesh Film Industri, He made several films including the popular film ‘Masud Rana Ekhon Dhakay’ and ‘Dhakar Rani’.

Hamid also played as Director of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) and was a member of the Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association.
