Concern Worldwide is asking Irish people to join Concern Long Jump Challenge

For months all the countries are asking their people to maintain social distancing regulations by keeping two meters distance from each other due to coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. To promote habit in this time of COVID-19, Irish humanitarian aid agency Concern Worldwide is challenging the Irish citizens to take part to do something different from those two meters.

Concern Worldwide is urging Irish peoples to take the “Concern Long Jump Challenge”. To do so they have to simply jump two meters (or more, or less), then will have to nominate two more friends to do the same challenge. and finally to finish off, donate ‎€2 or more to support Concern tackle COVID-19 in some of the world’s poorest nations.

Spring season is normally a busy fundraising period for the organization, but due to the unpredictable crisis, most of the local and national events had to be canceled, Concern’s Director of Public Affairs Richard Dixon stated.

“At this stage, we can all almost tell two meters at a glance. The Concern Long Jump Challenge is a fun way to take on our friends, family, and colleagues, while also raising much-needed funds to help tackle COVID-19”, Dixon added.

Surely it’s a fun way to utilize the two meters social distance and to use social media to convert the fun into a fund for the people in need in this time of COVID-19 crisis. And definitely, people are loving it.
