Banking hours in Bangladesh to be 10 am to 2.30 pm from May 10

Bangladesh Bank has fixed the banking hours from 10 am to 2.30 pm from May 10 amid the general holidays.

“Banks will remain open from 10 am to 3.30 pm while the transaction will be made between 10 am and 2.30 pm,” declared by Bangladesh Bank circular issued today.

The new official time will be compelling from May 10 and will proceed until further notification, the circular said.

During the exchange time frame from 10 am to 2.30 pm, there will be a 15-minute break from 1.15 pm to 1.30 pm for Zuhr petitions.

The central bank instructed all banks to keep at least one branch open in each district or in the important places of the district.

The Bangladesh Bank also asked the banks to keep open foreign currency dealing authorized dealer branches in metropolitan or divisional cities.
