Maradona asked for the ‘Hand of God’ to end COVID-19 pandemic

Argentine football legend Diego Maradona has asked the “Hand of God” to deliver the planet from the coronavirus pandemic and permit normal life to resume.

FIFA World Cup winner Diego Maradona mentioned his hand-assisted goal within the 1986 World Cup after Argentine football chiefs voted to finish the present season as well as suspend relegation, saving Maradona-managed bottom club Gimnasia from the drop.

“Today this happened to us and lots of people say it’s a new Hand of God,” said Maradona, alluding to his infamous goal against England.“But today I’m asking for that hand to finish this pandemic so people can return to living their lives, healthy and happy”, he added.

World Cup winner Argentine captain Maradona reacted to the debate over his goal at the World Cup in Mexico by saying “it was the Hand of God!”

Argentina is under lockdown since March 20 because of the coronavirus, which already infected 4,114 people with 207 deaths in Argentina.
