Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments launches telemedicine for labourers

Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE) has started telemedicine services for laborers amid the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country.

A total of 11 physicians of DIFE who are assigned to prevent the spread of coronavirus as well as raise awareness will provide the telemedicine services across the country, said a press release today.

The physicians will provide the healthcare services to both formal and informal laborers every day from 10 am to 2 pm from their respective work stations during the holidays.

Working-class people across the country can receive healthcare consultation from them over mobile phones.

In DIFE headquarters, Dr. Nazmun Nahar (01797-011919) is providing healthcare service while Dr. Dipa Dutta (01714-266843), Dr. Lutfun Nahar (01972-138530) and Dr. Tamina Hossain (01711-240390) providing support in Dhaka region. In Narayanganj Dr. Bithi Biswas (01847-129493) in Gazipur, Dr. Rajib Chandra Das (01722-909122) and Dr. Zakia Rizwana Lotus (01787-386361) is providing support .

Besides the Dhaka division, Dr. Nabin Kumar Hawlader (01936-493427) is offering service in Barisal while Dr. Bishwajit Roy (01712-383773) in Chattgogram, Dr. Md Soaib Hossain (01749-599797) in Khulna and Dr. Md Shahidul Islam (01914-300917) in Sylhet.
