A contactless paddle-type handwashing device has been installed recently at Dhalpur (Telegu and Nobur Slum) by Sajida Foundation, a partner NGO with support from WaterAid in Bangladesh.
People living in slums are using the facility maintaining a physical distance in the Coronavirus pandemic situation.
WaterAid is deploying its handwashing and hygiene expertise to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The organization says that this is very difficult but not impossible! The organization expressed its gratitude to the heroes instrumental in making this happen and introducing preventive measures to protect the most vulnerable people against COVID-19.
Earlier, WaterAid Nepal already demonstrated the device and published a Technical Brief On Contactless Handwashing stations.
