Bangladesh Govt to set up ‘dengue prevention cell’

The government of the people’s republic of Bangladesh has decided to set up a ‘Dengue Prevention Cell’ involving administrative officials various ranks for creating awareness on dengue and monitoring the activities of destroying Aedes mosquito breeding habitats.

Public Administration Ministry today sent a letter to different ministries and divisions seeking names of officials for setting up the cell, reported BSS.

The ministries and divisions have been urged to send soft copies of the lists with the names of the respective officials within the next three working days through the following e-mail ID [email protected].

Like the previous year, two “Dengue Prevention Cells” will be set up at the Dhaka south and north city corporations with the representatives from Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Local Government Division and Education Ministry Said in a press release.
