A medical team from China on their way to Bangladesh

A Chinese medical team of consultants comprising doctors, nurses and technicians is on the way to Bangladesh to assist native physicians to combat the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, Chinese Ambassador Li Jiming has aforesaid.

He has disclosed this in a very message marking the Muslims’ fasting month of Ramadan.

The message conjointly disclosed that the China-Bangladesh friendship International Exhibition Centre in Dhaka, totally funded by China, would develop into a makeshift hospital for the coronavirus patients.

The envoy said China will still stand and work closely with the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the world to fight along against the pandemic for an improved and shared future.

He recalled with immense gratitude, the timely and priceless support, both material and spiritual, extended by the govt and the individuals of Bangladesh to China when the epidemic 1st hit his own country.

Referring to Chinese President Xi Jinping, the envoy said it’s China’s firm belief that only with solidarity and cooperation the international community will prevail over the epidemic and defend humanity’s common home.
