Bangladesh shooter Asif to auction his Commonwealth gold to raise funds

Renowned Bangladeshi shooter Asif Hossian Khan, who won the first and only shooting gold medal for the country in the Commonwealth Games, showed his interest to auction his Commonwealth gold medal to raise funds for people stricken by the COVID-19 pandemic.

in 17th Commonwealth Games 2002 held in Manchester, England Asif earned the honour for the country by winning an individual gold medal within the 10-meter air rifle.

“I wish to auction my gold medal. I do not have much else with which I can contribute. If I can raise some funds by auctioning it then I will be able to help the people in need throughout this crisis time. I believe this is an honest thing to try and do and I very good feel excellent,” Asif expressed.

Celebrated shooter Asif maintained that he’s not bothered at all regarding giving away the Commonwealth gold medal, that is his best accomplishment thus far, as he always did everything for the nation.
