Actress Ferdousi Ahmed Lina passes away

Notable face in various TV shows and movies, Ferdousi Ahmed Lina inhaled her last breath at 63 years old around 12:00am on Saturday.

She was additionally an official of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA). An official of the BSA, Ireen Parvin Lopa, confirmed her death.

Information Technology Secretary of Acting Artists Association Sujat Shimul stated Lina was experiencing kidney complications for quite a while.

However, she was established in acting, he said, adding that last time, she was witnessed taking part in shooting for BTV.

State Minister for Cultural Affairs Mr. K M Khalid Babu today showed deep shock and mourning at the death of Lina.

In a condolence message, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his profound sympathy to the bereaved family.

Lina got enormous popularity by doing an advertisement of a butter oil in the 1975. In 1978, she made her first appearance in the play ‘Kalo Kokila’. Her first film was ‘Rajlakshi Srikanth’ directed by Bulbul Ahmed. Her last film was ‘Devdash’ directed by Chashi Nazrul Islam.

Ferdousi Ahmed Lina had been working at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy till 2017.
