Biman Bangladesh Airlines will resume its direct Dhaka-Manchester flight on January, 5 (Sunday) after more than seven years.
State minister for civil aviation and tourism M Mahbub Ali will inaugurate the flight at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport through the national flag carrier’s brand new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner as its 17th route, a Biman press release said.
Manchester, a city of rich industrial heritage of the United Kingdom (UK) is home to approximately 90 thousand Bangladeshi expatriates, as well as this city will be hub of the Biman’s upcoming route to New York and Toronto respectively, reports BSS.
Biman temporarily suspended Dhaka-Manchester route in September, 2012 due to shortage of aircrafts, the press release added.
Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner has total 298 seats including 30-business class, 21-premium economy class and 247-economy class.
