Rashid, Shakib prepare for battle forgetting IPL friendship

The camaraderie between Rashid Khan and Shakib Al Hasan that grows during their Indian Premier League (IPL) stint won’t be in place when the duo leads their country for one-off Test here in Chattogram on Thursday.

Both Shakib Al Hasan and Rashid Khan are still the part of IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad and they both of them were key in Sunrisers title victory in 2016.

Rashid Khan and Shakib Al Hasan hugged each other when they met on Tuesday at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, which showed the close bond they shared.

But it will be put away once the lone Test between Bangladesh and Afghanistan starts on Thursday.

Rashid the close bonding will be out of the ground as for his the country comes first always.

“It will be great fun. We played together in the IPL for Sunrisers. We had the best two years there. We enjoy a lot. We enjoyed inside and outside the field. We are really good friends,” Rashid Khan said here on Wednesday.

“Right now it’s about your country and you always give your hundred percent while playing for your country. You always try to give your best when you play for your country. It will be exciting for both of us to be the captains of the teams and leading them and try to give our best for the country. It will be a quite exciting and enjoyable moment for me. We will try to keep enjoying every moment.”
