OneAgrix, global Halal trading marketplace, has officially appointed leading Halal industry expert Salama Evans as their Halal advisor. OneAgrix feels that being able to utilise her past international experience and expertise into the company will help it grow exponentially.

Evans has had her finger on the pulse of the Halal industry working extensively to help raising awareness in the various Halal market sectors through the media. Since April 2007, Evans has been the managing editor of the online site HalaFocus.com which delivers daily news and commentary on the global Halal market, which is now referred to as ‘Halal Economy’. Before this Evans was involved in the conceptualisation, development and launch of the Malaysian publication The Halal Journal business/trade magazine; which was launched at the first MIHAS in Kuala Lumpur in 2004.
As an expert in the overall Halal Economy, Evans has worked extensively in developing international government linked inaugural Halal conferences. Her work has included major shows in Malaysia, London, Abu Dhabi, Brunei, and Dubai. In 2006 and 2007, Evans worked as the Project Manager for the first World Halal Forum in Kuala Lumpur. In this role, she was responsible for bringing in sponsorship, top level international speakers, and industry delegates for this new conference for the global Halal sector, supported by the Prime Minister’s office. Government officials, MNCs and Halal industry players from around the world came together to discuss how they could work together to make the Halal industry mainstream.
Her reputation for working on a variety of successful projects will be instrumental to OneAgrix’s growth as a marketplace. Her daily work on HalalFocus.com, that has over 6,000 articles relating to the Halal industry over the years, is a valuable resource for research that will assist OneAgrix to have an up to date insight into the growing Halal Economy that few other organisations possess.
