The Association of Grassroots Women Entrepreneurs Bangladesh (AGWEB), in partnership with IFIC Bank Limited, organized a live panel discussion titled ‘Balance for better-Question time’ on the occasion of celebrating the International Women’s Day 2019 on Saturday.
The commemoration event was held at 3:30 pm at the auditorium of the Centre on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific (CIRDAP) in the city’s Topkhana Road.
Ms Aroma Dutta, Member of Parliament; Mr. Md. Mosharraf Hossian Bhuiyan, NDC, Senior Secretary, Internal Resource Division (IRD) and Chairman, National Board of Revenue (NBR), Ministry of Finance; Dr. Atiur Rahman, Former Governor, Bangladesh Bank, Mr. Syed Mabubur Rahman, Chairman, Association of Bankers, Bangladesh (ABB); Mr. Md. Shafiqul Islam, Science and Technology Secretary, Central committee Bangladesh Awami Jubo League; Ms. Shomi Kaiser, Prominent Actress and Director, FBCCI took part in the panel discussion.
Ms. Mousumi Islam, President, AGWEB, moderated the event on ‘Balance for better-Question time’.
International Women’s Day (IWD), a focal point in the movement for women’s rights, is celebrated on March 8 every year.
