Bank Asia and Telenor Health signs MoU on healthcare services in Bangladesh

Telenor Health and Bank Asia joined hands to provide digital healthcare services to the unbanked community through the state-of-the-art Agent Banking network of the Bank. An agreement to this effect has been signed recently between the two organizations at the corporate office of the bank at Purana Paltan in the capital city Dhaka, Bangladesh.

In presence of Mr. Md. Arfan Ali, President & Managing Director of Bank Asia the agreement was signed by Mr. Andrew Smith, CCO of Telenor Health and Mr. Sarder Akhter Hamed, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Channel Banking Division, Bank Asia on behalf of respective organizations. Mr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, Deputy Managing Director of Bank Asia and Mr. Nasar Yousuf, Head of Corporate Business, Enterprise Market, Grameenphone Ltd.) are, among others, were present.

With this agreement, an industry benchmark has taken into place to ensure inclusive digital healthcare services in parallel with financial services to the unserved community of our country.
