As the Bangladeshi products are increasingly becoming popular among the Chinese people, the participation of Bangladesh in the China-South Asia Expo will help exporters make their position stronger in the Chinese market in future, reports BSS.
Moreover, the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) of Bangladesh has planned to take more initiatives to encourage the country’s entrepreneurs to participate in the expo for popularizing their products in the region.
“We want to brand Bangladesh before the world. We have already achieved the second position in exporting the Ready Made Garments (RMGs). So, the demand of our products in the world market lies beyond any question,” EPB Director General Avijit Chowdhury told BSS here today.
He said “Bangladesh has a strong tradition. The entrepreneurs of the country are participating in many exhibitions across the world with our goodwill. The EPB is providing all sorts of supports to the participators of the expositions.”
He said the Bangladeshi enterprises will take part in the China-South Asia expo with more quality products in future for the Chinese community.
This year 16 Bangladeshi entrepreneurs participated in the exhibitions of the expo. The business entities are Hridoy Silk Kuthir and Industries, Join Handicrafts, Oshin Enterprise, Naya Craft, Nishorgi, Style File, Rupantor, Ittadi Handicrafts, Lights Creation, Trade Breeze, Nakshi International, Sunbird Trading Company, Alif Handicrafts, Asian 1-99, Design by Rubina and Tasmiya Fasion House.
Avijit Chowdhury said the EPB will arrange promotional activities in the next year for increasing the participation.
Talking to BSS, Proprietor of the Tasmiyah Fashion House Shahina Akter said the responses for the Bangladeshi products in the expo were huge. “Many people visited my stall every day. The sale of my stall was very well,” she added.
Director of the Asian 1 to 99 and Exclusive M A Habib (Biplob) said the Chinese people are very happy by purchasing the Bangladeshi products. “We will take part in the fair in future with more diversified and quality products,” he added.
