Israel against Palestinians as human rights violation: Sheikh Hasina

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina says Israel has violated human rights by using force against Palestinians.
Her condemnation came when her Turkish counterpart Binali Yıldırım phoned her on Tuesday evening, her Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told the media.

Karim said the Turkish prime minister rang Hasina at 7:30pm and they talked for nearly 15 minutes.

Hasina also expressed anguish over shifting of the US embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv, which coincided with deadly protests in Gaza-Israel border on Monday.

The prime minister reiterated Bangladesh’s complete support to independent Palestine.

Yildrim invited the Bangladesh leader to attend the OIC Special Summit on Palestine to be held in the Turkish city of Istanbul on May 18, according to the press secretary.

She welcomed ‘timely’ initiative.

At least 60 Palestinians were killed by Israeli gunfire during violent clashes on Monday on the Gaza-Israel border coinciding with the opening of the US embassy in Jerusalem.

At least 2,400 others were wounded in the bloodiest day in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict since the 2014 Gaza war.
