Bangladesh’s Turongomi to participate in Philippine International Dance Festival

Bangladesh’s Turongomi has been invited to the Dance Xchange: Philippine International Dance Festival 2018 from April 26-30, 2018.  It was mentioned in the direct invitation letter to Turongomi by Government of Philippines, that in accordance with Presidential Proclamation No. 154, declaring the last week of April as the “National Dance Week”, a wide range of events involving dance will take place by Government of Philippines to welcome International mainstream dance groups to their country, with the motto of “Cultural Connectivity through Dance”.

Turongomi will showcase their production Anamika Sagorkonna, Choreography Nondini & Forever at the festival. Pooja   Sengupta will conduct a workshop on her signature style of Bangladeshi Dance for International performers, taking part in the festival.

Turongomi is expecting to fly with a team of six members: Susmita Lopa, Md Farhad Ahmed, Kazi Raihan, Md Hasan Uddin and Pooja Sengupta as the head of the delegation. Turongomi’s tour is supported by Berger Paints Bangladesh Ltd.
