FIFA presents ticket design for World Cup matches in Russia

The world’s governing football body, FIFA, presented on Friday the design of tickets for matches of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which kicks off on June 14 in 11 cities across Russia.

“With 69 days to go until the opening match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, FIFA has today presented the 2018 FIFA World Cup ticket design,” the FIFA said in its statement.

“Tickets will be personalized, meaning that the name of the ticket holder will be printed on it,” the statement said.

“Provided the persons entering the stadium have a valid ticket and their Fan ID and have been duly registered by the ticket purchaser (at the official FIFA website web source), access to the stadium will be granted.”

Russia selected 11 host cities to be the venues for the matches of the 2018 World Cup and they are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, Saransk, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg and Samara.

The matches of the 2018 World Cup will be held between June 14 and July 15 at 12 stadiums located in the 11 mentioned above cities across Russia. Two of the stadiums are located in the Russian capital.
