Having sex with the right person can be both intimate and fun. No matter how many times you might have had sex with your partner though, there are some things one just shouldn’t take for granted. Personal hygiene is one of them. Here are a few things that you should always do before sex.
1. Keep protection handy
Unless you’re trying to conceive and not interested in using protection, keeping your condoms where you can find them will make having sex much easier. Trust us, getting into the mood only to realise that you’ve kept your contraceptives where you can’t find them or forgotten to buy them all together is just a major downer.
2. Clean your private parts
This is really something people need to think about more. Yes, we understand that it’s easy to get swept away in the moment and not have time to think about this step – but imagine going down on someone with less than clean genitals. Not even nice to hear, is it? So take a shower or just clean your parts before you jump into all that action.
3. Go empty your bladder
Nothing is more uncomfortable than feeling like you’re about to urinate all through sex. While it’s important to pee right after having sex, it’s equally important to do so before too. Make sure you don’t skip that trip to the loo – all you’re going to be thinking about during sex, otherwise, is when you’ll get to go.
