Le Méridien Dhaka comes alive with French food festival “Goût de France”

Goût de France’ is an annual event that aims to commemorate French cuisine being named as a feature of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2010.

To present the innumerable variety of French cuisine, Le Méridien Dhaka is hosting Goût de France/ Good France food festival for the foodies around Dhaka in collaboration with the Embassy of France to Dhaka. Like every year, the festival hits the floor on March 21, 2018, at Latest Recipe of the renowned hotel.

Goût de France’ is an annual event that aims to commemorate French cuisine being named as a feature of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2010. First introduced in 2015, Goût de France takes place around the world with chefs showcasing their French-inspired delicacies. This year the fourth edition of Goût de France is set to celebrate French gastronomy in the capital. The festival will give the foodies an opportunity to rejuvenate themselves with mouth-watering traditional French cuisine.

The celebration will be inaugurated by the France Ambassador to Bangladesh, H.E. Mrs. Marie-Annick Bourdin on 21 March 2018. The ambassador states that ‘it’s always a pleasure to partner with Le Méridien Dhaka on Good France / Goût de France. Goût de France means Taste of France.

This event was initiated by our former French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, celebrated all over the world on the same day, to promote our country and our culture. Gastronomy is not only a matter of food, it’s a matter of how to turn a meal into a moment of pleasure. It is the symbol of our way of life, what we are, and our love for togetherness. On this note, we thank Le Méridien Dhaka to organize an unforgettable experience on Good France 2018’.

Meanwhile, the management of Le Méridien Dhaka said, “The festival aims to highlight the art of French lifestyle and culture. We will be sharing a glimpse of French culture with our guests by offering these enchanting delicacies. The participating restaurants in the event are ready to introduce a series of delightful French menus”.

The festival will commence at 6.30 PM and will run till 11.30 PM. The Chefs of the World at Le Méridien Dhaka will serve the delightful French cuisines like Onion soup, Salad Lyonnais & Duck Rillettes. The dinner will cost BDT 3900++ per person all inclusive. Special offers will be available for the valuable partners of Le Méridien Dhaka.
