IKCO restores production in Belarus

Based on the contract signed in a ceremony attended by industrial ministers from Iran and Belarus, IKCO site in Belarus will be restored by producing 5,000 units of IKCO vehicles over the next five years.

IKCO has signed a contract with a company from the private sector of Belarus to restore its site in the eastern European country.

Based on the contract signed in a ceremony attended by industrial ministers from Iran and Belarus, IKCO site in Belarus will be restored by producing 5,000 units of IKCO vehicles over the next five years.

IKCO’s deputy manager for export and the CEO of Unison Company from Belarus private sector signed the contract within the framework of Iran-Belarus joint commission.

In the first phase of the contract, Belarus site will produce 1000 units of Dena each year. In the next phase, other IKCO products like Dena+ and its upcoming vehicles with the new national platform will also be produced.

Developing IKCO’s market in Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) through exporting the units produced by Belarus site is among other goals of the contract signed between the two sides. Preferential tariff in CIS will deliver economic efficiency in the export of vehicles from Belarus site.

IKCO vehicles like Samand are highly well-known in Belarus. Thousands of Samand units have already been produced and sold in the country and the people of Belarus are closely familiar with the vehicle.
