Mountain products from the Chittagong Hill Tracts will be displayed and sold. Authentic ethnic foods will be served at food stalls. Ministry Of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs (MoCHTA) is organizing the festival for the third time in Dhaka. There will be cultural programme performed by ethnic artists every evening from 7 to 11 December.

The fair is organised by the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs in association with some non-government organizations to celebrate the lives and cultures, attires, history and heritage of the people who live in the country’s highlands.
International Mountain Day has been observed on December 11 every year, globally since 2003. According to the CHT Ministry’s website, the country’s three hill districts – Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachhari cover 13,295 square kilometers and are inhabited by 15,87,00 people.
