INFINITI QX30 wins Best Compact Luxury SUV Award

News Hour:

The INFINITI QX30 Premium AWD has been named Best Compact Luxury SUV at the 2017 Texas Truck Rodeo, which was hosted by the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) October 15-17, 2017, in Dripping Springs, Texas.

At this year’s Truck Rodeo, 64 vehicles were evaluated by 75 journalists across 21 categories. After two days of evaluation including local roads and off-road courses, the INFINITI QX30 was ranked Best Compact Luxury SUV, surpassing the competition in a crowded segment thanks to its unique blend of capability, refinement, and technology.

“Style outside and in, combined with unexpected capability on our test courses, impressed our journalists and put the INFINITI QX30 in the top spot of our Compact Luxury Crossover category,” said Nic Phillips, President of TAWA.

“With an ever-increasing number of highly competitive crossovers to choose from, buyers in this segment should put the QX30 in their sights.”

“It is a huge honor for INFINITI to receive the Best Compact Luxury SUV Award at the Texas Truck Rodeo, which is widely regarded as one of the most heated events in the truck and SUV category,” said Randy Parker, vice president, INFINITI Americas.

“The QX30’s balance of sportiness and utility make it one of the most popular vehicles in its class, and we’re proud to see it stand out amongst the competition in an important market for the brand and premium vehicles like Texas.”

The QX30’s combination of a standard 208 horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, highly responsive seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and intelligent all-wheel drive made it a formidable contender both on the roads and off-road courses in Texas, and one of the most popular vehicles in the two-day event.
