“Conquer Your Career”! Bangladeshi private university, IUB welcomed international speakers last Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at their campus in Dhaka to discuss and advice on how to start a successful working life. A large number of students attended the seminar held at IUB Multipurpose hall.
Co-Founder and Managing Director of Lamudi Bangladesh Ms. Anne Maria Hermans shared her experience working internationally as well as in Bangladesh and guided students how to prepare themselves to acquire their desired career.
Head of Career Guidance and Placement, Md. Abdullah Iqbal and Head of HRM Department, A N M Shibly Noman Khan provided their welcome notes at the start of the event. Answering some of the questions asked by the students Ms. Hermans stated that, “You can acquire work experience during your time at university, you do not need an entry job for this.“
“It is about joining student bodies or committees and actively engaging in these. If you approach it as the first step in your career and truly work for these organizations, you will get invaluable experience and all the knowledge you need to start a blossoming career.”
