Huawei introduces the Y5 2017 edition equipped with intelligent camera

Aiming to double the enjoyment of the coming Eid, Huawei Consumer Business Group has introduced the Huawei Y5 2017, the latest edition of the smartphone manufacturer’s Y series of smartphones. The handset has been designed and priced keeping in mind the budget and needs of the college- and university-going students in Bangladesh.

The main features of the phone, which addresses the needs of the youth, are multitasking facilities at an affordable cost, a powerful battery and a flashlight that accommodates the front camera for better selfies especially in low-light conditions.

The Y5 2017 edition is designed artistically and is equipped with a 2 GB RAM and a 16 GB ROM that is expandable up to 128 GB. The phone also has a 5-inch, HD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. For high-quality photos and selfies, the phone has an 8 MP back camera with dual LED-flash and a 5 MP front camera with LED-flash.

Moreover, with features like Geo-tagging, touch focus, and face detection, the phone is being touted as an affordable phone with an intelligent camera. The phone, operated by Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, has a power saving mode and is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery. To facilitate seamless multitasking the phone packs a quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 processor.

Regarding the arrival of the new product, Ziauddin Chowdhury, Deputy Country Director, Device Business Department, Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Ltd. says, ‘The youth of today are the future of this nation. Starting from August 20th, the Huawei Y5 2017 will be available for only BDT 10,990 at the Huawei Experience Stores at Jamuna Future Park and Bashundhara City Shopping Mall as well as other Huawei brand shops across 64 districts of Bangladesh.
