Once again the world’s leading Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has given reasons to his fans to rejoice as he reclaimed his place atop the ladder of all-rounders in all three formats in the most recent International Cricket Council rankings, updated on August 14.

Shakib, who had made up the habit of hogging the headlines, saw last week India’s left-arm spinner and lower order batsman Ravindra Jadeja’s good performance in the first two Tests against Sri Lanka with 13 wickets, had dethroned Shakib for the top spot in the Test bowlers’ rankings.

However, Jadeja did not play in the recently concluded third Test against Sri Lanka in Pallekelle, which India won by an innings to sweep the series 3-0, because of a one-match suspension handed out for a code of conduct breach during the second Test in Colombo.

This suspension allowed Shakib currently has 431 rating points go past Jadeja who has now has accumulated 429 points.

Shakib enjoys the slightly bigger lead in ODIs, where he has 353 points, 15 ahead of second-placed Mohammad Hafeez of Pakistan.

In T20Is, Shakib also has 353 rating points, 10 more than Australia’s Glenn Maxwell.

Bangladesh star performer Mahmudullah Riyad maintained his position his position in the top 10 T20I allrounder, slotting in at number five with 203 points.
