WINGS Learning Centre, the British Council’s new state of the art IELTS test center in Dhanmondi was inaugurated on 8 August 2017 by the British Council’s Regional IELTS Business Development Manager – South Asia, Craig Ewan. Attended by senior management from both organizations, the event kicked off as Craig cut the ribbon to inaugurate the venue.
The welcome speech was delivered by the Managing Director of Sheba Group, Asif H Choudhury. He said in this speech, ‘This partnership has opened up new horizons for our organization, and we are looking forward to a long and productive business relationship with the British Council’. This was followed by a video presentation on IELTS by Deep Adhikari, Director Examinations Bangladesh.
He said, ‘WINGS Learning Centre brings a wealth of experience from working in the local education sector, and our combined experience and expertise will help us serve our IELTS candidates better.’ The event concluded with a vote of thanks from the Head of IELTS Business Development at the British Council, Kafil Chowdhury.
Under the partnership, candidates can register for IELTS and take the test at WINGS Learning Centre – this will further bridge the gap between the British Council and its IELTS candidates in Dhanmondi and surrounding areas by providing them a location based service, easy access to information and alternative method of payment, thus saving time and money. All in all, this partnership is yet another leap forward as the British Council continues to ensure customer service excellence for its IELTS candidates.
