England will take on Australia in their final group match of the ICC Champions Trophy on Saturday.

Naturally, with fans ready to descend on Birmingham for the fixture, all eyes are on the weather forecast.

As of Friday, June 9, the Met Office is predicting a warm day, with rain during Saturday morning and some improvement during the afternoon, reports Birminghammail.co.uk

This is potentially problematic for cricket fans, who want to see as much action as possible in the city on Saturday.

Play is set to begin at 10.30am, with forecasters predicting heavy rain at this time.

Indeed, there could be plenty of moisture in the pitch, with light rain set to fall from 7am on Saturday morning.

The heavy rain will subside by about 1pm, but showers remain possible throughout the afternoon until 6pm.

Temperature highs of 20C are expected.

Fresh from beating New Zealand in convincing fashion, England know a victory over Australia will knock the tourists out of the competition.

The Aussies are coming into the game with just two points from their first two fixtures.

Their opening match against the Kiwis was rained off, with their follow-up game versus Bangladesh also suffering from a washout.
