Parkway Cancer Centre & Gleneagles Hospital organized a cancer awareness program in Dhaka, Bangladesh

Parkway Cancer Centre & Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore organizes a cancer awareness program on “Art of Healing, Lifestyle That Fights Cancer” at a local hotel in Dhaka on May 13, 2017.

Dr. Freddy Teo, Senior Consultant, Hematology, Parkway Cancer Centre & Dr. Lui Hock Foong, Senior Consultant, Gastroenterology from Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore were the main speaker at the event. They highlighted on Advanced Treatment and Management of Blood Disorders & Cancers and Gastroenterological Diseases & Cancers, respectively.

Mr. Max Tan, Marketing Manager of Parkway Cancer Centre, Mr. Zahid Khan, Director, Dhaka Office, Parkway Hospitals Singapore Pte Ltd & Mr. Gerard Chua, Marketing Manager of Parkway Hospitals Singapore Pte Ltd was also present in the seminar.

While Mr. Zahid Khan, Director of Parkway Hospitals Dhaka office conveyed vote of thanks, end of the session.  The main objective of the seminar aims to update the audience with better treatment modality and aids to undergo for the appropriate medical options.

Mr. Zahid Khan, Director of Dhaka office said it’s been 15 years, Parkway Hospitals Singapore Pte Ltd running the office in Dhaka. Not only the Cancer treatment but also we’re working on the adequate food habit, Lifestyle & Cancer Cure & management for the patients in Bangladesh. It’s not difficult to beat the Cancer if we all work together.

Three Cancer Survivors shared their stories on how they’ve successfully beat the Cancer & leading regular & happy life now. Survivors are Mr. Najmus Sakib Bahauddin Ahmed, President, Bangladesh Cancer Aid Foundation & CEO, Light House Bangladesh; Ms. Rezoana Nahid, Student Counsellor, Prime Asia University, Dhaka & Mr. Alimul Haque, Former Ambassador, Gov’t of the Republic of Bangladesh.

Moreover, in this program, there were also Meditation session & Healthy Salad making competition where participants prepared different salad dishes & won attractive prizes end of the session.
