Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday condemned the Maoists attack on CRPF personnel in Chhattisgarh, terming it as a “cowardly and deplorable” act, and asserted that the sacrifice of the martyrs will not go in vain.
At least 26 CRPF personnel were killed and and six others wounded in a deadly ambush by naxalites+ in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district on Monday.
The attack took place at around 12.25pm between the Burkapal-Chintagufa area in south Bastar, one of the worst Maoist violence-affected region in the state.
