A Dhaka court has acquitted Holey Artisan attack survivor, Tahmid Hasib Khan, of charges of hiding information about the attack in a non-prosecution case.
Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Mahmudul Hasan passed the order in presence of Tahmid on Sunday.
The case was lodged with Bhatara police station against Tahmid, who was seen holding a gun and walking with the terrorists in a couple of pictures taken by a man from an apartment adjacent to the bakery, in October 2016.
A total of 22 people were killed by a group of ‘militants’ on the 1 July attack on Holey Artisan cafe in the capital’s Gulshan area.
Five ‘militants’ were also killed in Operation Thunderbolt by the army commandos.
A cafe employee also lost his life in the exchange of fire.
