Mustafizur clears stance on IPL participation

News Hour:

Mustafizur told the media in the sidelines of their practice session at the Sinhalese Sports Club ground in Colombo on Friday, “A person called me on the room intercom, and wanted to know about the IPL. I told him that there are three matches [third ODI and two T20Is in the tour of Sri Lanka] left and I will not be able to say anything before that. Whether the cricket board clears me or not, I don’t know. Let me finish the matches and then we will see.”

Earlier, according to India-based website Sportstar, it was claimed that Mustafizur might miss the first leg of the cash-rich league, while his participation in a couple of matches depends on whether the BCB gives the go-ahead.

“I have learnt a lot from the IPL, but I don’t think I will be able to make it to the tournament this time around. I am waiting for permission from the board (BCB),” Mustafizur was quoted as saying to Sportstar. The article was published online on Thursday.
