Bangladesh post 324 runs, Tamim 127

Bangladesh made 324 runs for the loss of five wickets in 50 overs against Sri Lanka in the first ODI in Dambulla on Saturday.

 Bangladesh opening batsman Tamim Iqbal (127) registered his eighth hundred while all-rounder Shakib al Hasan and Sabbir Rahman chipped in with 72 and 54 respectively. This was Shakib’s 33rd fifty while for Sabbir, it was his fourth half-century.

Earlier, the Lankans won the toss and invited the Tigers to take first guard. Bangladesh handed youngster Mehedi Hasan Miraz his first ODI cap.
