The Chainsmokers want it’s music to ‘connect with people’

News Hour:

American DJ duo The Chainsmokers want their music to ”connect with people on a real level”. For that goal they gear up to release their debut studio album ‘Memories: Do Not Open’ next month.

The electronic duo consisting of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall said their goal for their music career is to ”do good”, and make music that means something to people.

And the pair, who recently collaborated with rock band Coldplay on their track ‘Something Just Like This’, admits they’ve made mistakes in their past but believe they can still serve as role models to their fans because they ”own” their imperfections.

They also said, They aren’t worried about their name being a billboard for ciggies and their band name is no bad habit.

The duo achieved a breakthrough with their 2014 song “#Selfie”, which was a top twenty single in several countries.
