Aston Martin steps up investment in local community

News Hour:

As part of the company’s ongoing commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Aston Martin has formed a new partnership with local Leamington Spa based charity, Helping Hands.

The Charity provides support to vulnerable people in the Warwickshire area, through a number of initiatives including mentoring, support for the homeless and those affected by domestic violence.

This partnership was developed following the theft of Helping Hands’ delivery van late last year, impacting on the charity’s ability to function. Following an introduction by local business group Stratford & Leamington Business Forum and Stratford MP Nadhim Zahawi, Aston Martin stepped in with a new van allowing Helping Hands to continue with its vital work.

Aston Martin President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Andy Palmer said: “As a company, we have an ongoing commitment to CSR and supporting the communities in which we operate are very much a part of this. Helping Hands is an excellent local charity, making a real difference in people’s lives and we are delighted to be able to support.”

Helping Hands founder Lianne Kirkland Said: “Aston Martin’s support is wonderful news and will help us reach more vulnerable people in the local community.”

Local MP Nadhim Zahawi said: “I am delighted to have played a small part in linking these two excellent local organisations and to see this partnership come to fruition.”
