Mahmudullah flying back home

News Hour:

It was just matter of time and was bound to happen as Mahmudullah’s recent performance raised several eye brows and with two failures in the Galle Test, the BCB thinks tankers have decided to send him tomorrow on the eve of the beginning of the second Test match in Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

A BCB source revealed to BSS on Monday that team manager Khaled Mahmud informed of this development, saying that the right-hander will miss out on the second Test, Bangladesh’s 100th Test match at the P Sara Oval on March 15 but might join the team for the ODI series.

National selectors have already finalized a 15-man squad for the 3-match ODI series and are waiting for nod from BCB boss Nazmul Hassan Papon.

The selected players in ODI squad will join the team in Sri Lanka on 18 March. The first ODI is scheduled to be played on at Dambulla on March 25.
